RESIDENTS, businesses and visitors have two weeks left to help shape the future of BCP Council.

The council recently set out its new vision and priorities but wants people to have their say on the proposals.

The survey has two weeks left for people from across the three towns to give their feedback.

Since its launch, the council has held a series of roadshows.

Common themes that have been raised include the safety and cleanliness of the towns, involving communities more in shaping services that matter to residents, improving customer relations and 'getting the basics right'.

Councillor Vikki Slade, leader of BCP Council, said: “We know you care as much as we do, so let’s work together to build a better future.

“We have said from the beginning we want to make sure we focus on what matters to the people of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, and by setting a vision and set of priorities shaped by you, we can do just that.

“The more ideas and feedback we get from as many diverse groups as possible the better, so if you haven’t already, please take the time to complete our survey, either online or via a paper copy, available in your local library.

“We know we face some big challenges ahead, such as managing extreme financial pressures, but this work will help guide us towards delivering what you see as our most significant services.”

The next stage will include the council engaging more with young people with roadshows at university and college campuses over the coming weeks.

Results from the survey will be used to create a final plan, as well as how the agreed objectives can be delivered.

The plans will then be presented to BCP Council’s cabinet in December and full council in January.

Every strategy, policy, service plan and action taken will be measured against the new objectives to make sure the council is achieving what it set out to do.

The survey closes on October 22 and it can be filled out online or in paper copies at libraries.
