A CAR crashed into parked vehicles before a mobile phone was ‘stolen’ from a resident.
Police were called to a crash involving a car and two others parked in Surrey Road, Bournemouth, on Sunday morning (October 29).
Police say a member of public had their phone stolen after the crash.
The driver of the car, Ralph Panashe Mataruka, 24, was arrested and later charged with drink driving.
Mataruka, from Bournemouth, will appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 20.
Another man, 26 from Bournemouth, was also arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released under investigation.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 10.21am on Sunday 29 October 2023 of a collision in Surrey Road in Bournemouth involving a car that had collided with two stationary vehicles.
“It was further reported that a member of the public had their phone stolen at the scene following the incident.
“Officers attended and a 24-year-old Poole man was arrested and subsequently charged with drink driving. He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday 20 November 2023.”
