A PUB will donate 50p of every burger it sells to charity.

For every Junction Burger sold at The Goods Yard in Broadstone, 50p will be donated to The Junction Leisure Centre.

The leisure centre is a part of YMCA Bournemouth, and the pub has recently reopened as a member of the Fired Up Collective.

CEO of the collective, Andy Lennox, chose the leisure centre to be one of its charitable partners.

Andy said: “We believe in the collective supporting local charities and choosing the Junction was an easy choice.

“They provide excellent leisure facilities for the local population and are at the heart of the community.

“They are not just a place to go and get fit, but it is also a place for the community to come together.

“It therefore gives me great pleasure to donate 50p from each Junction Burger sold to the Junction. We look forward to welcoming the Broadstone community to The Goods Yard very soon.”

Martin Stockley, senior operations manager of YMCA Bournemouth, said: “The support of local businesses, groups and individuals in Broadstone for the YMCA operated Junction Sports & Leisure Centre, is always greatly appreciated.

“It means that the Centre can continue its ongoing improvement programme for the community it proudly serves, and in turn this means our local, and positive, impact increases.

“Our sincere thanks is given to Andy, and the Goods Yard team, for this innovative approach to the support of YMCA.”
