REDUCED speed limits will be coming into effect on a busy road from today.
Part of Ringwood Road going through Ferndown and Longham will be reduced from 40mph to 30mph on Thursday, November 9.
This will be in place from Manor Close to Turbary Roundabout.
A spokesperson for Dorset Council said: “Please be aware that the existing 30mph speed limit on the A347 Ringwood Road, Ferndown will be extended from Manor Close up to Turbary Roundabout from this Thursday.
“This follows a review to make the area safer for all road users. Thank you.”
It follows a reduction along other parts of the road from Mountbatten Roundabout to West Howe Roundabout, where there is a speed camera.
In the spring, speed limits there were also brought down to 30mph following a consultation period in which several people wrote their letters of objection.
