David Beckham was spotted in Dorset over the weekend.

The former Manchester United and England football star took to social media to share a shot of him holding a lamb.

It is understood the football legend was just passing through and paid a visit to the farm in north Dorset, at which he shares a mutual connection.

Upon being contacted, the farm did confirm that the former England captain had visited but wished to make no further comment.

In his social media post uploaded on November 11 he wrote: “Found a little friend in the country. And no HarperSeven sorry we can’t keep it.  We have enough G.O.A.Ts right now.”

The G.O.A.T reference is in relation to the acronym referring to the ‘Greatest of All Time’ a phrase often used in football to describe Lionel Messi, who now plays for Beckham’s Inter Miami in the US.

It is not the first time ‘Becks’ has visited the county though.

He was also spotted in 2019 at Pulpit Rock on Portland Bill, accompanied by an entourage and film crew.

It is believed they were in the area to film an advert for David Beckham's skincare brand.

In 2015 the footballing legend brought Weymouth to a halt as he visited for a fishing trip with his son and movie director Guy Ritchie.

Fans swamped the former England captain with some even managing to get a selfie or two with the star.

Ritchie is also well known to Dorset with his home, Ashcombe House along the border with Wiltshire, near Shaftesbury, and took over the running of Compton Abbas Airfield earlier this year.

Beckham also featured in Ritchie's 2017 film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

He has more recently released a documentary on Netflix which dives into his football career and the ups and downs he experienced as one of England’s most gifted players of his generation.
