A ROAD in Poole was closed after concern was raised for a man’s welfare.
Police received reports of concern for the welfare of a man on top of a bridge over Dorset Way near Tower Park.
Officers were called to the scene at 8pm on Monday, November 20.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "The Dorset Way was closed between the Mannings Heath and Tower Park roundabouts while emergency services responded to the incident.
"The man was brought down to safety just before 9pm and the road was reopened."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 20:40hrs on Monday 20 November to an incident in Canford Heath, Poole. We sent one double-crewed land ambulance and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital.”
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to Chalbury Close in Poole at 8.19pm to assist police with an incident.
A crew and technical rescue teams from Poole along with the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne attended.
