A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged assault in Bournemouth town centre.
A man in his 50s was found seriously injured at a flat in Westover Road on Saturday evening (November 18).
He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Ainsley Johnson Greer has since been charged with attempted murder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The 30-year-old from Poole is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 22 November 2023.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old woman from Christchurch who was was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
It is believed that all those involved are known to each other and there is no information to indicate that there is any wider risk to the public at this stage, police have said.
