A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash with a car in Wallisdown.
The driver of the car was left uninjured after the incident in Wallisdown Road at the junction of Canford Avenue.
Police were called to the scene at 5.14pm on Wednesday, November 22.
The road was temporarily closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident and an investigation into the crash took place.
The road was reopened at 7.35pm.
Police Constable Chris Brolan, of the traffic unit, said: “This collision happened in the rush hour, and I would ask anyone who saw what happened or captured it on dashcam to please contact Dorset Police.
“I would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding during the road closures. While these were entirely necessary, I understand they caused considerable congestion in the area.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 17.14hrs on Wednesday 22 November to an incident near Bournemouth.
"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances and two critical care cars and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital.”
