A THIEF stole a woman’s purse and sentimental jewellery from her handbag in Bournemouth town centre.
A gold herringbone necklace was stolen alongside a St Christopher pendant and a broken gold chain.
The female victim has been left distressed after the sentimental items were stolen from her handbag on Saturday, November 4,
Officers have now released an image of one of the missing items.
Police community support investigator Chris Hardy, of Dorset Police said: “This incident has caused upset for the victim as the items stolen were of great sentimental value. Unfortunately, it is not clear where or when the items were stolen from the victim’s handbag.
“I’m now in a position to release an image of one of the items of jewellery which was stolen. I would like to hear from anyone who came across jewellery matching the description given above being offered for sale in suspicious circumstances.
“As part of my enquiries, I am also keen to speak to anyone with relevant information who may have witnessed the theft to please come forward.”
