A WELL-known restaurant in Sandbanks has closed due to the ‘difficulties of the current economic climate’.
Lazyjacks Restaurant and Bar welcomed its last customers over the weekend before closing its doors for good.
Posting on social media on Sunday, the owners wrote: “It is with great sadness that Lazyjacks has had to close its doors for the final time.
“Due to the economic climate, it has proved too difficult to continue.
“We would like to thank all our customers, friends and family for all their support over the years. It’s been greatly appreciated.”
Described as a ‘hidden gem’ of the peninsula, Lazyjacks was loved for its Caribbean themed venue, cocktails, and pizza.
At the beginning of the November, owners announced it would be opening only at the weekends throughout the winter months.
Following the latest announcement, kind words have poured in on social media from its customers.
One wrote: “This is so sad. We loved visiting you when we were in Sandbanks.”
Another posted: “This is awful news. You are such an amazing addition to Sandbanks, great atmosphere and brilliant food. It’s going to be a real loss.
“We will miss it especially the pizzas and the roasts.”
