A CYCLIST has been injured during a ‘hit and run’ in Bournemouth.

Police are investigating a crash involving a white car and a cyclist on St Michael’s Roundabout.

It is reported that the driver of the vehicle briefly stopped and offered help to the victim, before leaving the scene without giving his details.

The cyclist – a man aged in his 20s – attended hospital for treatment to a broken wrist.

Officers investigating the incident, which occurred at around 10.50pm on Friday, November 17, are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Police Constable Ran Hartman-Turner, of Bournemouth police, said: “The driver of a white taxi stopped at the scene to help the victim.

“He had left the scene before police arrived and we are keen to speak to him as he may have information to help my enquiries.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone else who may have witnessed what happened or captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
