A WOMAN has been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of arson.
Residents gathered to watch on as fire crews battled the blaze in Oakmead Gardens.
Kelly, a nearby resident said there were "so many flames and smoke just bellowing throughout the house".
A woman was initially arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life on Friday.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “The arrested woman has been released on police bail and our investigation remains ongoing.”
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 4.18pm this afternoon about a property fire on Hickes Close, Bournemouth.
“Crews from Redhill Park, Poole (x2), Westbourne, and the aerial ladder platform also from Westbourne attended.
"The incident involved a fire on the first floor of a property."
Officers attended with the fire service whilst a cordon was put in place.
The incident happened at Oakmead Gardens on November 24.
