A SUPERHERO meet-and-greet is coming to The Dolphin this weekend to collect much-needed Christmas presents for deprived children in need.
Characters including Star Wars robot R2-D2 to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be on hand to speak to children and take photos.
Dancers from the Broadstairs Academy of Dance will also be performing at the event.
Whilst the superheroes are present, families can also be their own heroes by donating a gift for someone in need.
Children and parents can find a character inside the shops with flyers and the character will take them to the donation boxes.
Marvel's Iron Man will also be making an appearance after flying all the way from the USA.
As many as 50 characters will be meeting children at The Dolphin.
The experience will also feature a performance of movie music at 11am, with a carol concert by the Funky Little Choir at 1pm.
Event organiser Wayne Mandeville of C-Star said: “There is bound to be a hero at this event for every film lover and our characters are going to be on hand all day to help make a real difference for the local community.”
The event will be held at The Dolphin on Saturday, December 2, between 9.30am and 4pm.
