DORSET may get its first snow of the season tomorrow morning, according to a weather expert.
Dorset Snow said on X (formerly Twitter) that it ‘looks likely’ that snow will fall tomorrow morning.
The forecaster said: “It looks likely that Dorset will see its first falling snow of the season tomorrow morning.
“The snow will mostly be light and patchy, but areas inland could see a few hours of wintriness. Sleet or rain across coasts.”
The Met Office is predicting temperatures to drop as low as -3 degrees centigrade overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning.
However, as it stands, the government agency says there is just a 30 per cent chance of precipitation tomorrow morning.
It said there is a risk of a ‘mix of rain, sleet and snow showers’ in the south west, including parts of Dorset.
The Met Office added that ‘any snow [will be] largely confined to hills’.
Forecasts show cold but sunny days on both Friday and Saturday, with highs of four and five degrees respectively across the two days.
