THE death of a man in Verwood is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.
Emergency services were called to Burn Close after a report of a concern for the welfare of a man in his 70s at an address.
The ambulance services and police officers attended the scene on Monday, November 27 at 11.42pm, but the man was found dead.
The man’s family was informed, and the coroner notified.
The death was initially treated as unexplained, but it has been concluded that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Following a post-mortem examination and enquiries by detectives, it has been established that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
“Enquiries will continue on behalf of HM Coroner.
“The family of the man who sadly died has been updated and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.”
