A PEDESTRIAN was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a car.
Victoria Road in Ferndown was closed this morning on Friday, December 1 after a crash involving a car and a woman.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene to deal with the incident before the woman was taken to Poole Hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed for around an hour and a half.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 7.28am of a collision in Victoria Road in Ferndown involving a car and a pedestrian.
"Emergency services attended and road closures were put in place.
"The female pedestrian has been taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be serious. We do not have a further condition update at this time.
"The road was reopened at around 8.50am."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 07.33hrs on Friday 01 December to a road traffic incident on Victoria Road, Ferndown.
"We sent a double-crewed land ambulance and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital.”
