AN ELECTRIC fan heater sparked a fire in a flat above a Domino’s pizza restaurant.
A fire broke out in a first-floor flat above the takeaway in St Thomas Street in Lymington during the early hours of Monday morning.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said it was called at around 4am to the domestic flat fire.
A spokesperson said crews from Lymington, Brockenhurst and New Milton were sent and found all people were outside and safe on arrival.
They added that a fire broke out from an electrical fan heater in the front room.
Fire crews worked to isolate the gas and electric supplies before using breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire with a jet and hose reel.
He said: “The crews left the scene shortly before 7am.”
