'STOLEN' goods were returned to a health and beauty shop after a man was arrested and charged with shoplifting.
Police officers in Bournemouth town centre were called to a report of the offence on Friday, December 15.
They attended the scene, where a man was quickly identified.
He was arrested and then later charged with the offence of shoplifting, on the same day.
Bournemouth police said officers then returned the stolen goods to staff in Superdrug in Commercial Road.
Elsewhere, officers from the Bournemouth south neighbourhood policing team conducted a joint visit with housing services, to check on vulnerable members of the community.
In the town centre, officers continued to patrol around Bournemouth Gardens and the pier, seeing people enjoying the markets and Christmas lights.
