A MAN had his nose bitten off during a fight outside a Bournemouth bar.
Kyle Fidler, 28 and of Bournemouth, left the man with severe facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
Fidler and the victim, a man aged in his 20s, met in a bar in Holdenhurst Road.
They were involved in a fight during which the victim was pushed to the floor.
Shortly after, Fidler and the victim fought outside, and the victim was punched in the face multiple times and had his nose bitten off.
Fidler was arrested by officers following the incident in the early hours of Friday, June 2.
He appeared at Bournemouth Crown Court for sentencing on Tuesday, December 19, having pleaded guilty to wounding with intent.
He was jailed for nine years.
Detective Constable Natasha Beaufils, of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole CID, said: “Following a robust and proactive response from our officers, we were able to identify Fidler, bring him into custody and hold him to account for his actions.
“Violent behaviour such as this will not be tolerated in Dorset and we will do all we can to identify those responsible and bring them before the court.”
