HUNDREDS of households are affected by a power cut in Dorset.
SSEN have said 24 postcodes in the Ferndown and West Moors area are suffering from a loss of power from an “unplanned outage”.
According to SSEN’s website, the power cut was first reported at 1.09pm on Wednesday, December 27 and is estimated to be affecting 340 households.
Workmen are currently on site doing repairs and it is expected it will be resolved by 5.30pm.
SSEN said: ““All supplies are expected to be restored by 5.30pm this afternoon and SSEN thanks customers for their patience while its engineers work in challenging weather to repair and restore the section of network affected.”

The Met Office has issued an alert for strong winds with gusts set to reach up to 60mph.
A yellow alert will be in force from 3am until 6pm on Wednesday, December 27.
The Met Office said: “A spell of strong southwesterly winds are likely during Wednesday, initially affecting Cornwall in the west of the warning area before spreading eastwards through the course of the day.
"Gusts are likely to reach 50-60 mph fairly widely, with a risk of 65-70 mph across some exposed headlands. Disruption or delays to transport are possible.”
