Hotel guests were evacuated after a hair dryer is said to have caught fire last night.
The fire is reported to have been started in the changing rooms at the Durley Dean Hotel.
The 112-bedroom hotel was forced to evacuate its guests from the building while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
Three fire crews were called to the incident on West Cliff Road, however, Dorset Police and paramedics did not attend.

A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “We were called to West Cliff Road, Bournemouth at 9.06 pm last night (28 December) for a fire in the lower ground floor changing rooms of a property used as a hotel and leisure facility.
“Three crews attended, from Westbourne, Redhill Park, and Springbourne, and four breathing apparatus wearers used a hose reel jet and a main jet to extinguish the fire, which started accidentally.
“An appliance from Poole also attended to provide a ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
“Our stop [message] was at 10.01pm.
“The premises was evacuated while the fire was tackled, but no injuries were reported.”
According to a member of staff at the hotel, the fire was caused by a hair dryer.
Described as a ‘Victorian townhouse hotel’ close to the Bournemouth beaches, the 4-star venue was evacuated in 2018 after a fire ‘involving the electrical cupboard.’
