FAKE designer bags were being sold in a Bournemouth convenience store, BCP Council confirmed.
Trading standards and Dorset Police’s neighbourhood policing team confiscated 42 counterfeit bags on Westover Road.
A raid on Wednesday, January 24, was part of a council day of action following criticism of the town centre.
Officers seized seized fake Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Supreme handbags.
A spokesperson for BCP Council said that a small number of illegal vapes were also removed from the convenience store.
The day of action was conducted by the ‘Town Team’ - a multi-agency group including BCP Council, CSAS officers (community safety accreditation scheme), Dorset Police and St Mungo’s.
