POLICE have still not charged anyone after 13 vehicles were torched in neighbouring towns last Spring.
The cars were set alight across the Broadstone, Wimborne and Merley areas in the early hours of Monday, May 15, 2023 - more than eight months back.
A full investigation was launched and a local man aged in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of arson.
He was later released and has remained on police bail ever since.
Dorset Police has confirmed the man’s bail was due to expire mid-February this year, but has now been extended to mid-March.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said it received more than 65 999 calls about the vehicle fires through the early hours of May 15.
The locations with reported arson incidents included Wentworth Drive, Oakley Road, Merley Way, Stour Walk, New Borough Road, Grove Road and Leigh Road.
Two properties were also affected by the fires.
