A MAN and woman dressed as delivery drivers to steal rapeseed oil and frozen fish from a pub in Sturminster Marshall.
The thieves pulled up outside the Red Lion Inn in a white Mercedes Vito wearing hi-vis jackets and carrying an empty blue oil barrel, according to reports made to police.
They then loaded eight containers of oil and a delivery of frozen fish into the back of the van before driving away.
The total value of the stolen items is around £500.
It is reported that the incident occurred between 7.15am and 8.30am on Tuesday, January 30.
Police officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The man is described as being of Asian descent, skinny build, with short, black skin-faded hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top with a white inner lining.
The woman is described as being of Asian descent, medium build, with long blonde-brown hair tied in a ponytail. She was wearing a burgundy gilet and a light-coloured hooded top.
Both offenders are described as between 30 and 35 years old and were wearing hi-vis jackets.
PC Christopher Window, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident, or saw two people acting suspiciously in the vicinity around the relevant time, to please come forward.
“Also, I would ask motorists travelling in the vicinity of Church Street to please check their dashcam footage for anything that may show the two offenders in the area.”
