TESCO will open its latest Poole shop later this month.
The new Express store in Haven Road, Canford Cliffs, will finally open on February 10 at 10am.
Appearing complete from the outside, a sign in the window states: “Store manager Tori and her team look forward to serving you”.
Taking over four empty units along the shopping parade, the new shop was given approval in July when BCP Council said it would create an “uplift” to the area.
A report added it would also “would result in additional footfall into the village centre”.
The shop was also given the thumbs up by Branksome Park and Canford Cliffs Residents’ Association.
The group said it expected “most people would be very happy to see the empty units be filled” but warned convenience shopkeepers nearby may not be as pleased.
In its application, Tesco said the 1930s Art Deco block had “suffered from unsympathetic alterations in the past and fails to enhance the character of the area”.
A car park is to be found at the back.
