ELEGANT décor, classy furnishings and beautifully spacious rooms – here’s why The Beach House in Bournemouth is the ultimate coastal hideaway.

After seeing just two photographs of this holiday home, and its hauls of positive reviews on Airbnb, I knew I had to arrange a night’s stay.

The Beach House is one of two Beach Hideaways in Bournemouth owned by Rachel and Grace Hutson.

The mother and daughter duo purchased the home in Purbeck Road, Bournemouth, in 2021 as part of an ambitious £400,000 renovation project.

It has now been transformed into a luxurious and nautical themed four-storey holiday home which at full capacity, can sleep up to 20 people.

There are seven en-suite bedrooms, two kitchen and dining areas, two sitting rooms and a terrace.

However, for smaller groups, the rooms can be closed off – meaning the home suits anything from a couple’s getaway to a hen do.

I opted for a quieter stay, and so booked the home for me and my partner for the night of Thursday, February 1.

The check in process was seamlessly smooth, with the owners having sent me over plenty of instructions ahead of time.

They also provided useful information on nearby parking, internet passwords, cooking facilities and who to call if I had any issues.

As I came through the front door of The Beach House, all I could say was ‘wow’.

To the right of the hallway was the lounge – a spacious yet cosy space, with natural light beaming in through the window, and stunning textures and furnishings that made it an interior designer’s dream.

The hallway led me to a dreamy open plan room, comprising of a kitchen area, a modern dining table with benches, and two feature armchairs.

I had been left out some treats for my stay – a selection of Lindt chocolates, crisps, cookies, and a bottle of pink prosecco.

The owners had also left fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge, plus an in-depth information pack for my stay.

These gestures were appreciated, and were a lovely surprise on arrival to The Beach House.

I then went upstairs to check out my bedroom for the night, not knowing how this room could be any better than the ones I’d just seen.

But I was yet again impressed, as I walked in to see a rustic chic style room, with a large poster bed that screamed romantic luxury.

The bedroom also had an en-suite, with stunning marble walls and brass taps, plus fresh towels and toiletry essentials on hand.

Back on the ground floor, there was a set of bifold doors leading out to a terrace area with garden-style furniture - I could vision this as the perfect place to relax during the summer months.

After I had explored every corner of The Beach House, I realised that it was even more beautiful than the pictures I had first seen.

It was immaculately clean throughout, beautifully designed, and felt like a real ‘home from home’.

It was clear that owners Rachel and Grace had spent so much time on making their holiday home special, and had put effort into designing every single room.

From the seashell door knobs, feature mirrors and textured rugs, to the plants, ornament displays and paintings on the walls - everything just worked.

As for the location, I found The Beach House to be perfectly positioned in the town centre.

There was plenty of shops and restaurants I could visit nearby, and I enjoyed a short walk over to the beach.

I would love to stay at The Beach House again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of luxury coastal life.
