EMERGENCY repair work alongside a busy dual carriageway into Poole is expected to be over by tomorrow.
Drivers were left furious on their commute this morning because of delays on the A35/A350 to Poole from Lytchett Minster.
Cones were placed on the left lane past Upton Gateway Roundabout, however drivers reported they “didn’t see any workers along the road”.
Drivers were stuck in delays of more than half an hour.
Wessex Water is carrying out work to repair a broken water mains.
A spokesman for the company said work is scheduled to finish tomorrow (Thursday, February 7) but “we hope to finish sooner”.
He added: “This is unplanned work to fix a mains leak that is affecting the nearside lane eastbound, a section of which has been closed for the safety of road users and our workforce.
“We’re sorry for the traffic delays.”
