MORE than 800 homes are currently without power in Bournemouth.
Residents in Wallisdown might have to wait a while until power is restored.
Engineers expect the problem to be fixed by 4pm later this afternoon.
A spokesperson for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said: “We’re very sorry for the power cut and are aware of a fault on our main network affecting 866 homes.
“This is affecting a large area and its likely several streets in your area are affected by the same outage.
“We have engineers on the way and they are due to arrive at 11:45.
Once they arrive, they will get straight to work on investigating the fault and attempt to restore power.”
The cause of the power cut is down to SSEN's underground network.
“In most cases, our engineers can restore power by simply replacing a fuse at the local substation, however, if the fault is severe, this may result in us needing to make full repairs which can take longer.”
