A BUSY bridge will be closed for five nights while maintenance works are carried out.
Tuckton bridge will be closed to motorists overnight from its junction with Tuckton Roundabout to its junction with Stour Roundabout.
The closure will be in place between 7.35pm and 5.30am, from Monday, March 18, to Friday, March 22.
The bridge will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists.
Full emergency services access will be maintained and access to properties will be maintained depending on site safety.
BCP Council say the closure will enable routine bridge maintenance works to be completed.
A diversion is in place via Belle Vue Road, Southbourne Road, Southbourne Grove, Seabourne Road, Christchurch Road and Barrack Road.
The proposed closures at Tuckton Bridge will run alongside those at the Avon Causeway.
The Avon Causeway in Hurn will be completely shut from March 4 while BCP Council carries out important repair work.
The closure is expected to bring delays to the area until the project is completed on March 22.
