Two independent Bournemouth restaurants have won prizes at the 2024 Deliveroo Awards.

Koh Thai and Chicken & Blues won in the regional categories for Best Thai Restaurant and Best Chicken Restaurant for the South of England & Wales area.

The awards recognise a variety of independent restaurants serving a range of cuisines and members of the public were encouraged to vote for their favourites.

Koh Thai and Chicken & Blues win Deliveroo Awards

Koh Thai, located on Poole Hill, describes itself as "a culinary gem nestled on the scenic south coast of England" on its website.

It adds: "Our menu is a diverse and mouthwatering fusion of flavors, offering everything from the bold spices of Thai curries to perfectly balanced stir-fries, with vegetarian and vegan options to cater to all palates."

Koh Thai has been well-received on Tripadvisor, earning a score of 4.5/5 from 1,535 reviews.

One person wrote: "Amazing food, relaxing and authentic atmosphere. Our server Camila was great and made our visit. We will definitely come here again. Top cuisine and our favourite Thai experience. 5 stars every time!"

Another posted: "A great atmosphere, delicious food and fantastic cocktails. A particular shoutout to our waitress Emily for being super friendly and helpful as well as to John the bartender for the addictive espresso martinis. Thanks for a great meal in Bournemouth."

Chicken & Blues has locations in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, and like the name of the brand suggests it serves a variety of chicken dishes and plays blues music.
