YouTuber ranks the 6 worst places to live in Dorset

The video is titled 'Six disgusting towns in Dorset you need to avoid' and has nearly 200,000 views.

Ranking predominantly relies on factors such as crime rates, housing prices, the quality of activities on the high street, and the quantity of vacant buildings in the town.

6th on the list was Poole.

The video called Poole Dolphin Centre 'one of the ugliest shopping centres still in existence'.

Poole High Street was also factored into the decision, saying, 'There is just nothing here that you could possibly want.'

According to the video, Poole's crime rates are over the Dorset average and are the fourth worst in the county.   

In 5th place is Portland Island.

Portland was defined as having 'steep cliffs everywhere, not much to do and if you get bad weather one of the dreariest places in the UK.'

Fortuneswell was criticised for its steep hills and run-down high street.

The video said: "It has to be the most miserable excuse for a high street I have ever seen.

"There is nothing to do, people being held on barges, no shops and two prisons."

Hamworthy made it to 4th on the list.

Turlin Moor was dubbed 'Turd in moor', saying it's a place 'where bus services have to stop coming to for months at a time because feral youths throw eggs and bricks at the windscreen.'

The video highlighted that Turlin Moor and the rest of Hamworthy are separated by a train station and said, 'I guess Turin Moor is really a place that is the wrong side of the tracks.'

The other side of Hamworthy was described as 'slightly better; however, the YouTuber said:

"Hamworthy makes the list for the majority of the place being a dump, and the place has no style or character, and I hate it."

In 3rd place was Bournemouth.

Despite being a popular tourist destination, the Turdtowns highlighted the decline in the town centre.

The video said: "Bournemouth used to be the place to shop on the south coast.

"The main street is just dying; I doubt anyone would want to come here now."

According to Turdtowns, Bournemouth's worst problem is the roads, saying it takes forever to get anywhere.

The YouTuber said: "I think it could be okay here if they sort out the derelict shops, found a way to sort out the summer traffic, and had more police available to deal with the high crime."

2nd on the list is Weymouth.

The video explained that one of the reasons Weymouth made it so high on the list is because it's home to two of the most deprived places in Dorset.

Saying the main problem is that a lot of the jobs in Weymouth are low-paying, and 16 per cent of the children live in relative poverty.

The video also said the town has a homeless problem, claiming 55 per cent of Dorset's homeless people are in Weymouth.

Coming in at number 1 on the list is Boscombe.

It was described as 'a place you just want to avoid.'

The video said: "This is a place full of drugs, full of crime and full of homeless."

Boscombe is technically a part of Bournemouth. However, the video said the town is so notorious that it deserved its rating.

The YouTuber said about Boscombe: "Everything is closed down here, the people look shady and tired, homeless people throw chips at you, and vicious Pitbull are held on spike collars.

"Boscombe is the worst place in Dorset, and everyone knows it."
