Residents mistake site workers for ‘large unauthorised encampment' at car park
RESIDENTS have mistaken site workers for a ‘large unauthorised encampment’ in Bournemouth.
Police received a report of a possible encampment in the Hengistbury Head car park on Tuesday evening.
The Daily Echo was also contacted by residents who reported seeing a ‘large contingent’.
When police attended the scene, officers located a number of caravans associated with work that was being carried out at the site and were authorised to be there.
No further action was required.
