POLICE have stopped 20 vehicles while on patrol in rural Dorset.
Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team worked with Wiltshire Police and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary to conduct patrols on Thursday, February 22.
Together, the officers worked across East Dorset, North Dorset and Purbeck to engage with rural communities and gather intelligence to assist police in upcoming operations and investigations.
During the patrols, 20 vehicles were stopped and two drivers were issued with tickets - one for driving without insurance and the other for a dangerous load.
On the same day, officers from Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team More recovered a stolen trailer.
The Ifor Williams trailer was on a fake plate and recovered following examination by officers.
It was confirmed stolen from Kent.
