A WOMAN was stabbed in the neck during an assault outside a pub in Poole.
The victim, in her 20s, was outside The Churchill pub in Ashley Road, Parkstone, when she was ‘attacked’.
Emergency services were called to the incident at around 11.30pm on Friday, March 1.
Witnesses reported seeing around eight police cars and ambulances attend.
She was rushed to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries.
Meanwhile a woman from Poole, 37, has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and is in police custody.
Greene King, the operators of the pub on the corner of Churchill Road, confirmed the incident outside the premises.
The pub remains closed for business today.
A spokeswoman said: "The pub will remain closed and we’d advise customers to keep an eye on our social media channels for when we reopen."
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “At around 11.30pm on Friday 1 March 2024, Dorset Police received a report of a serious assault outside The Churchill pub in Ashley Road in Poole.
“It was reported that the victim – a woman in her 20s – sustained a stab wound to her neck.
“Officers attended the incident with the ambulance service. The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries.
“Following enquiries, a 37-year-old woman from Poole was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm with intent.”
