A MAN in his 80s has died following a medical emergency at West Lulworth.

Multiple emergency services attended the incident on West Road near the coast.

An air ambulance was also seen landing on the ground near the incident.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 1.53pm on Friday 1 March 2024 of a man requiring medical attention in West Road in West Lulworth.

“Officers attended to assist the ambulance service.

“Very sadly, the man - aged in his 80s and from Lulworth - was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“His family is aware, and HM Coroner has been notified.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious.

“Our thoughts are with the man who sadly died at this difficult time.”

A spokesperson for the Southwestern Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 13:39hrs on Friday 1 March to an incident near West Lulworth and we sent a double-crewed land ambulance, an air ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.”
