A Dorset beach has been named among the world's best 100 beaches to visit in 2024.
Durdle Door was featured in a book from Lonely Planet titled 'Best Beaches: 100 of the World’s Most Incredible Beaches'.
It was one of only two beaches from England that made the list, with the other being Kynance Cove in Cornwall.
A description of the book reads: "From dazzling coves with sprawling coastlines to mystical shores with azure waters, Lonely Planet's experts present 100 of the most incredible beaches in the world plus the reasons why each is so unique and special.

Durdle Door among world's best 100 beaches
Durdle Door near Lulworth often features on lists detailing the best beaches to visit in the UK and is known as one of the most famous landmarks in Dorset due to its unique arching cliff formation.
The site has also earned rave reviews from tourists on Tripadvisor, accumulating a 4.5/5 rating on the site from 4,233 reviews.
One person wrote: "First we had a nice little look around the village and Lulworth cove, stocked up on some sweet treats, then headed over Durdle Door.

"A really scenic ocean-side walk. You can make this a relaxing stroll or you can pick up the pace and get a good work-out, it is entirely up to the visitor."

Meanwhile, another shared: "We parked at Lulworth Cove and walked up the hill to see Durdle Door This was quite a challenge but well worth the views."
