AN investigation has been launched after a convenience store in Southbourne was broken into.

Police received a report of a burglary at the Co-op in Cranleigh Road at 11.43pm on Friday, March 1.

Officers attended and carried out searches of the area.

A cordon was put in place while an examination of the scene was conducted.

Dorset Police said its investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made.

The county force could not confirm if anything was stolen during the incident.
