TRIBUTES HAVE poured in after the sudden death of a man in Ferndown who is believed to be homeless.

Described as a ‘lovely chap’, Robert Forbes was admired by many for his kindness.

Residents of Ferndown were saddened at the news of his death.

The 65-year-old man died at an address in Penny’s Walk in Ferndown on March 5.

In a post on social media speaking about his passing, one user commented: “Oh my sweet Rob it took me over 4 years to get you to open up my friend.

“Sleep tight, my friend.”

One comment said: “So sorry to hear this. He gave me a lovely smile when we shared coffee last week.”

Another comment said: “He would never take or ask for anything. He was a true gentleman, will be strange not seeing him around anymore.

"Sending love up to heaven. R.I.P.”

Coroner’s officer Tracey Jeans said: “We are not treating the death as suspicious, however, we have not been able to locate his next of kin.

“If any member of the public has any knowledge of his family members, please contact us as soon as possible on 01202 123900.”
