A PERSON injured their lower leg at a Dorset beauty spot and needed assistance.

Emergency services were called to a medical emergency at Durdle Door on Wednesday, March 6 at 12.42pm.

Emergency services worked to move the injured person to the car park where an ambulance was waiting.

A spokesperson for Kimmeridge Coastguard said: "Our team was paged alongside the Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team to assist with a casualty with a lower leg injury.

"Teams assisted South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust alongside Wyke Coastguard CRT, Lulworth First Responders and Lulworth Rangers to extract the casualty to an awaiting ambulance in the car park."

A spokesperson for Wyke Coastguard said: "Our attention was drawn to an incident at Durdle Door when both Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team and Kimmeridge Coastguard teams were paged to attend to a lower limb injury.

"Wyke offered extra personnel who responded quickly. The casualty was treated, packaged and transported to an awaiting South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust ambulance waiting at the top car park."
