POOLE Pride has made a call for LGBTQ+ film makers to get involved in its event this summer.
Dorset-based LGBTQ+ film makers are being invited to have their work showcased at Lighthouse Poole.
Working with Arts University Bournemouth's Queer Cinema Society, Lighthouse has said successful applicants will be shortlisted with films screened on June 7.
Lighthouse programming executive Ashton Corbin said: "Whether you are an established film maker, or dream of becoming the next big thing in the industry, we are taking submissions from anyone who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community in Dorset.
“Some of the most astounding pieces of cinema have been created on the smallest budgets, so we are looking for innovative entries to showcase the ingenuity of proud local creatives using an iPhone, DSLR, old-timey tripod – if you can film it, we want to see it!”
All entries must be based on the word 'pride' and must not run over eight minutes.
Creators must identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community and be based in Dorset either permanently or temporarily.
Submission deadline is May 1. For more information visit Lighthouse's website.
