FIREFIGHTERS have been called out after a power cable fell on a road in Dorset.
Dorset and Wilshire Fire and Rescue Service attended Manston Road in Sturminster Newton at around 7.30 am on Sunday, March 10.
SSEN engineers were also dispatched to secure the area as there were live wires on the ground.
24 SSE customers in the DT10 postcode (Sturminster Newton) are experiencing power cuts as a result.
Their power initially went off at 7:49 am due to an overhead line fault, which is suspected to have been caused by trees impacting the OH network.
Engineers are on site conducting repairs, with an estimated restoration time of 1pm.
A SSEN spokesperson said: "We would like to apologise to our customers who have been affected by today's power cut.
"Our engineers are working hard to restore power as safely and quickly as possible."
