TWO men were headbutted and bitten during an assault in Bournemouth town centre in broad daylight. 

The victims were in the Square on Sunday morning, March 10, at around 10.23am when a man assaulted them, police say. 

During the fight, one man was headbutted by the suspect and another had their finger bitten. 

One of the victims attended hospital for treatment to injuries to his hand. 

Detectives have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify as part of the investigation. 

Detective constable Gregory Plant, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We take reports of public place violence of this nature very seriously and we are conducting a full investigation into this incident. 

“We have obtained CCTV images of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
