POLICE continue to investigate a bomb scare at a private school in Bournemouth

Nobody has been arrested after the scare at Talbot House Preparatory School in Firs Glen Road, Winton, last November, police have said.

The day had only just begun for the pupils when staff alerted the emergency services to the “bomb” which turned out to be a scare.

It remains unclear exactly what triggered the scare in the first place or whether it was inside the building or on the grounds.

A number of police officers were seen inside the school on the morning of Thursday, November 30 while pupils were being taken home by their parents.

Residents saw a large number of incident response units were sent by South Western Ambulance Service as well as a fire engine sent by Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Police sent out sniffer dogs to scour the premises, searching for any threat, while the fire and ambulance service were on standby.

The cordon, which stretched onto Frederica Road, was eventually stood down shortly after lunchtime after police found nothing suspicious.
