A burglary was attempted at a property in Poole in broad daylight. 

A back door, back gate, and security light were damaged at a property on Holnest Road.

Nothing was stolen from the property.

The incident happened between 3.30pm and 7pm on March 10. 

Now, police are urging witnesses of the crime to come forward.

Police Constable Jack Taylor, of Poole police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries into this incident and am keen to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area between around 3pm and 7pm on Sunday 10 March 2024.

“Also, I am appealing to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance during that timeframe on either home CCTV or dashcam footage.

“Furthermore, I am keen to hear from anyone walking in the Hatch Pond Nature Reserve at the time of the incident who noticed any suspicious activity to please contact us.”
