A BMX bike with a camouflage seat was stolen outside a service station in Wareham.
The bike is described as a grey, 24-inch StayStrong Magor BMX bike with black wheels that was taken between 5.55pm and 6.10pm on February 17.
The incident occurred outside a petrol station on Sandford Road.
Police Constable Stuart Wilson, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries into this incident and I would urge anyone with information relating to who might be responsible to please contact us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who has come across a bike matching the description being offered for sale locally or online in unusual circumstances.”
