ALTERNATIVE rock band James have announced a warm-up show in Bournemouth for their forthcoming arena tour.
The outfit will perform at the 02 Academy in Boscombe on Wednesday, May 29.
Tickets will be available to buy from 9.30am on Friday, March 22.
James release their 18th studio album Yummy on April 12.
Yummy is the band’s 18th studio album and is produced by Leo Abrahams who has previously worked with Jon Hopkins, Brian Eno, Jarvis Cocker, Imogen Heap and Regina Spektor.
It has been mixed by Cenzo Townsend who has worked with Courteeners, The Specials and Everything Everything.
The album’s artwork has been art directed and designed by Studio Fury, who’s previous work include the campaign for the Rolling Stones' latest album, Hackney Diamonds.
With more than 25 million albums sold over their 42-year career, the Manchester band broke through to mainstream chart success with their 1990 major label debut Gold Mother.
Some of their best known hits include Come Home, Sit Down, Laid, Tomorrow, She’s a Star and Just Like Fred Astaire.
Following the Bournemouth date, James will hit the road to perform eight venues joined by special guests, Razorlight.
