Most of the Priory's pipe work found full voice in Reubke's Sonata on the 94th Psalm, as the vibrant growl of the opening movement, castigating the venal, makes plain.
The vexation of the innocent is quietly proclaimed in the central adagio and the full force of Morgan's virtuosity was let loose in the finale.
The bottom C gave us all a lot of pleasure in a brilliant commemoration of the youthful (1834-1858) composer.
With Morgan it's an entertainment of facts and humour treating us to the "candyfloss" of Rowley's Rustic Scherzo and the beauty of Vaughan Williams' Prelude on Rhosymedre.
Morgan brought full organ to bear on the Gershwin Legend and a colourful transcription of Wagner's Grand March from Tannhauser opened this superb recital.
