A FEUD between two brothers led to one damaging equipment belonging to the other, a court heard on Thursday.

Jonathon Griffin, 42, of Church Farm, Batcombe, was handed a 12-month suspended prison sentence after being convicted of two counts of criminal damage.

Bournemouth Crown Court heard that Griffin had caused £6,793 worth of damage to seven tractors and a milking parlour and £614 worth of damage to a digger.

The court was told that "bad feeling" had developed after the family farm was divided between Griffin's older brother David and their mother for tax purposes following the death of their father.

Griffin was also ordered to carry out 280 hours of unpaid work within the community.
