CHILDREN who have been pelting passing buses with 'rocks and other objects' have been caught by the police.
Neighbourhood police officers patrolling Turlin Moor claimed they had found two youths matching the description of those lobbing the rocks.
They were sat outside a bus stop in Turlin Road before running away from the officers.
Eventually, they were found again and, according to the police, had admitted to the offence.
A spokesperson for Poole police said:”[They] will be dealt with further via a multi-agency approach.
“We want to thank the community for the reports. It is important to report these behaviours so police can deal with them effectively.”
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police added: “Dorset Police received a report at around 7.30pm on Monday 15 April 2024 of a group of young people throwing stones at a bus stop in Turlin Moor in Poole.
“Officers attended and carried out searches of the area, but the group was not located. No damage was reported.
“The local neighbourhood policing team is aware and patrols will be carried out in the area in response to this behaviour.”
Morebus general manager Richard Wade added: “We are working closely with police to identify whoever did this, and we will press for the strongest possible charges for those responsible.”
