BROWNSEA Island will host weekly outdoor yoga sessions over the summer.
National Trust workers will be hosting the events alongside yoga teacher Sonja Lockyer when it returns for its second year.
Sonja will lead a one-hour session, followed by a picnic breakfast prepared by plant-based chef Wylde Green Kitchen.
The yoga sessions are every Wednesday from 8am to 10am from May to July and again in September, weather permitting.
Cambridge Woods has recently reopened and will be used for a new forest bathing trail – the Japanese practice of being immersed in nature in a “mindful” way.
Programming and partnerships officer Rachel Lamb said: “It’s wonderful to be able to offer yoga sessions and forest bathing to help people to relax and unwind from the pressures of everyday life.
“Brownsea is so peaceful due to the lack of traffic noise and is naturally beautiful. We can’t think of a better place to de-stress.”
Those interested can book a session on Brownsea Island’s website.
